Before the long weekend, the Easter Bunny paid a visit to the language school. Every student received a delicious chocolate bunny. Of course, our dedicated teachers and all the wonderful people in our office received gifts too!

The Sprachinstitut Treffpunkt has been a member of the FDSV, the Professional Association of German Language Travel Organisers, for many years. The FDSV is a key guarantor of quality in the language travel sector. The spring general meeting is therefore an important date in the calendar for Treffpunkt CEO and FDSV board member Kristina Schimmeyer.

Rita has had the chance to share her knowledge and experience—a moment that fills us with pride.

According to the BILD newspaper, Bamberg is one of the most popular cities in Germany. Specifically, Bamberg ranked third among cities with 50,000 to 100,000 inhabitants in a ranking of Germany's most popular city centres.

How does the electoral system in Germany actually work? And how do Germans vote in local elections? These topics were on the agenda at Treffpunkt, coinciding with the local elections in Bamberg. And what is the easiest way to learn something? By having it explained to you on site and experiencing it first-hand, so to speak. 

A city tour? Not quite.Our participants receive historical photos of Bamberg and set out to find the places where they were taken. It's not that easy – but that's exactly what makes it so much fun.

Even if schools close, all students are accommodated at other language institutes A language trip or language course abroad is a big dream for many students: a new language, new people, new opportunities. This makes it all the more shocking when a school suddenly and unexpectedly goes bankrupt and has to close – creating uncertainty: What will happen to my course? To my money? To my plans? Where can I live if the school no longer pays my rent, even though I have already paid for the entire stay in advance?

At the turn of the year, there will be some personnel changes at Treffpunkt – we look forward to the change with great gratitude and excitement: After many years together, we are saying goodbye to Mareen, our long-standing principal, and Sarah, our course manager. Mareen and Sarah were a strong team that played a key role in shaping Treffpunkt.

Please note that Sprachinstitut Treffpunkt will be closed from 21 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. We will be back as usual on 5 January and look forward to the new courses and new students. Have
