German for medical doctors – The best way to pass the Fachsprachenprüfung (medical language exam)!
Do you want to work as a medical doctor in Germany and do you want to get your license approved? In order to make that happen you have to pass the medical German language exam (Fachsprachenprüfung). In Bavaria this exam is exclusively presented by the Bavarian State Medical Association (Bayerische Landesärztekammer, BLÄK). A lot of participants fail the Fachsprachenprüfung due to the wrong way of preparation
There are a lot of medical doctors who have to take the language exam more than once! The Fachsprachenprüfung proves to be a real bottleneck. A lot of participants fail the exam. The reason for this is quite similar: As physicians, the candidates are used to prepare themselves for exams by self-studying. A lot of participants think: If you read the books and learn the content by heart, then you will succeed. Unfortunately, this approach isn‘t suitable for languages! Quite often participants also argue that they speak a lot of German at work with colleagues and patients. It‘s true, German conversations are a very good start to practice your language skills, but plase, take into consideration that German native speakers aren‘t qualified language teachers. Additionally, native speakers of German won‘t correct any mistake that is made in everyday communication. Therefore a lot of people overestimate their own language skills. What are the requirements to take part in the exam?
In order to be able to take part in the medical German examination by the Bavarian State Medical Association you have to prove your German language skills at level B2. You can obtain this proof from us. Just take part in one of our exams telc Deutsch B2 – or choose an individual date for your exam. On your desired date, you can take the state-approved exam telc Deutsch B2 with us. Of course, we also offer the appropriate exam preparation for telc German exams. What happens after the language exam?
As soon as you have passed the language exam you will be allowed to work as a doctor in Germany. Congratulations!
