Our classrooms and accessibility

The building

Sprachinstitut TREFFPUNKT is located at Hauptwachstraße 19 in 96047 Bamberg. You can find our class rooms on the first and second floor.

The building is clearly recognizable by its striking Art Nouveau front with its large semicircular windows. The building is located next to the Kettenbrücke (Chain Bridge). By the way, until 1891 a predecessor bridge of today’s Kettenbrücke existed that served as a model for the famous Brooklyn Bridge in New York. This is only one of many historical details that can be discovered in Bamberg. With a history of more than 1000 years the town offers a great wealth of historical facts.

From Sprachinstitut it is only a short walk to the city centre with its many attractions. The pedestrian zone is located about 50 meters away from the language school. It offers a great variety of stores and coffee shops. Thus you can directly practice your newly learned German language skills in everyday situations.

Accessibility

For us, at Sprachinstitut TREFFPUNKT, accessibility plays an important role. Our building is not completely barrier-free but it is still easily accessible. We offer a wheelchair ramp to bridge the little step between the street and the front door. There is also a lift inside the building that can be used to reach all classrooms on the first and second floor.

Disability-friendly toilet close by

Wheelchair users who need a disability-friendly toilet will find one at the town hall which is located close to the language school. It only takes about three minutes to get there by wheelchair. You will receive your own key for the toilet facilities!

Our Leisure time activities suit your needs

Sprachinstitut TREFFPUNKT offers leisure time activities that can be easily adapted to the needs of our language course participants. Every person with physical disabilities will be able to take part in all activities. For example, our Stammtisch takes place at barrier-free restaurants and pubs.

You want to take your exams with maximum accessibility? That’s no problem!

Everyone can take our telc exams without any barriers! To set up an exam that suits all your needs we need a medical certificate that describes your physical limitations. Afterwards we will contact the telc gGmbH in Frankfurt to clarify which supportive measures will be taken to guarantee you maximum accessibility.
