Corona Multi-Stage Plan (Stufenplan) at Sprachinstitut TREFFPUNKT (in effect until December 2020):

Stage 1: Seven-day incidence under 35 per 100,000 inhabitants (scale: city of Bamberg)

Here, regular classes take place in compliance with the TREFFPUNKT hygiene rules.
An obligation to wear a face mask applies throughout the entire school building. In the classroom, once seated, masks can be taken off.

Stage 2: Seven-day incidence 35  up to 50 per 100,000 inhabitants (scale: city of Bamberg)

An obligation to wear a face mask applies throughout the school building, including when seated during lessons and exams.
Limited cultural program with outside activities or in very large rooms. Gastronomic activities (e.g. "Stammtisch" get-together) will be cancelled and replaced by an online "Stammtisch".

Level 3: Seven-day incidence from 50 per 100,000 inhabitants (scale city of Bamberg)

An obligation to wear a face mask applies throughout the school building, including when seated during lessons and exams.
The cultural program will be discontinued or partially replaced by online activities (e.g. online "Stammtisch", online "Deutsch für alle").

In general:

1.    Persons from risk areas:
If persons from countries and regions that are classified as risk areas by the German Robert-Koch-Institut arrive, they must present a negative test result (test for Sars-CoV-2). Only then may they start the course. If the result is not yet available on the first day of the course, Sprachinstitut TREFFPUNKT offers online participation in classes.

2.    Symptoms of illness:
In any case, course participants and teachers with unclear symptoms of illness stay at home for the time being and should, if necessary, consult a doctor for the following symptoms: Fever, cough, sore throat or ear pains, severe abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea.

In stages 1 and 2, students can only be allowed again at school (after an illness has occurred) if they have been symptom-free for at least 24 hours (except for a slight cold and occasional cough). As a rule, no testing for Sars-CoV-2 is required in stages 1 and 2. In case of doubt, the doctor will decide on a test. The fever-free period should be 36 hours.

In stage 3, permission to come back to school or re-approval is only possible after presentation of a negative test for Sars-CoV-2 or a medical certificate. Online participation in classes is always possible for people who are ill.

3.    Ventilation concept:
All teachers ventilate during the breaks. Even in autumn and winter, the windows must be fully opened for at least 10 minutes at a time (not tilted!). A jacket helps against the cold.
