Language travel should not be a risk!
We live in uncertain times. Tourism has collapsed worldwide, and of course so has the language travel sector. The language institute TREFFPUNKT and its partners all over Germany have decided to give language travelers more security!
Booking a language course abroad is a real gamble these days. Language travelers ask themselves: "Will I even be allowed to travel at the desired time? When will I be vaccinated? Will the language school even exist when the course starts?"
Safety screen for international language students in Germany
The Association of German Language Schools and Language-Tour Operators (FDSV) is therefore introducing a "Student Protection Plan" to give international guests more security when making booking decisions.
The Student Protection Plan takes effect as soon as a language school files for insolvency and the affected language students would be "stranded" in Germany. If the language students can no longer continue their language course at the originally booked language school, they are taken over free of charge by one of the remaining FDSV quality schools within the association and can thus continue their language course at another school - without having to pay for the language course again.
TREFFPUNKT and the FDSV - a good combination!
"We are proud to be part of this unique project," says TREFFPUNKT director Kristina Schimmeyer. "There has never been a bailout for language travelers in Germany before. Now to set a strong signal for Germany as a business location with so many great partner schools is the perfect prelude to a hopefully better 2021."
The language institute TREFFPUNKT has been offering intensive German courses since 1995 and has been a member of the FDSV since 2018. In 2019, Kristina Schimmeyer from Bamberg was elected to the board of the association.
