“Happy Halloween“ was the motto for ten Bamberg children who met at the TREFFPUNKT Language Institute to celebrate a real American Halloween party. As you would expect from a US party, it was of course held in English! Teacher Sarah showed the party guests all the Halloween games she used to play when she was a schoolgirl in West Virginia. Together with Spencer from Alabama, she did line dancing with the children, placed spiders in their webs, painted pumpkins and much more.
The Bamberg children were particularly interested in what American children eat on Halloween: Dirt Cake! This is an exotic mixture of various sweets and chocolate pudding.
Of course, the traditional "trick or treat" was a must at the end! At 5 p.m., the parents collected happy children who had learned a lot about American culture and the English language!
